Mentoring and Preaching

Today, November 15, is the Feast of St Albert the Great.  He was a scientist, philosopher and theologian.  He was also the teacher and mentor to St Thomas Aquinas.  St Thomas was perhaps the greatest thinker in the history of the Church.  Perhaps God is calling us to be mentors for others, especially younger men.  We can help to teach and instruct them in the Catholic faith and way of life.

We are in the “Year of St Paul” who was perhaps the most influential voice after the MASTER Himself.  I will be in New Jersey today to give a “Day of Recollection” for the Vocationists – Fathers, Seminarians and Sisters.  I will be reflecting with them on: Paul: A World Turned Up-Side Down! Perhaps, as Jesus broke into the life of Saul of Tarsus and transformed him into Paul, the Apostle, He may break anew into our lives.
